Who we are
Sheridans Seafood Pty Ltd (ABN 55 701 181 740), trading as Sheridan's Seafood Co., operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. Questions or requests: sheridanseafood@gmail.com.
What we collect
Orders: when you buy from us, our checkout (hosted by Shopify) collects your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order details. Payment is handled entirely by Shopify's payment providers — we never see or store your card numbers.
Enquiries: when you use our contact form, your name, email address, and message are processed by Formspree and delivered to our email inbox.
We don't run customer accounts, and we don't collect anything else behind the scenes.
How we use it
To fulfil and deliver your order (including sharing your delivery details with Australia Post for posted orders, and contacting you by text or email to arrange oyster delivery windows).
To respond to your enquiries, and to meet our food-safety record-keeping obligations (we keep records of which product batches were sold and where, so we can contact buyers in the unlikely event of a product recall).
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we won't send you marketing without your consent.
Who else touches your data
Shopify (our ecommerce and checkout platform), Formspree (contact form delivery), Australia Post (parcel delivery), and Google (our business email). Each handles your information under their own privacy policies and security practices.
Storage, access and correction
Order records are stored securely in Shopify; enquiry emails in our business inbox. We keep records only as long as needed for the purposes above, including food-safety traceability retention periods.
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it — email sheridanseafood@gmail.com and we'll respond promptly. If you have a privacy concern we can't resolve, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
